Chairman Qiu’s site visit to PMB

Serasa, Muara, 26 October 2016.  Chairman Qiu and senior management members of Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd this afternoon visited Hengyi’s project site on Pulau Muara Besar (PMB).

The project site occupies an area of approximately 260 hectares on PMB.  Currently, the main activities on the island are the construction of jetties and staff dormitories.

Chairman Qiu commented “I am pleased with the overall progress and the ongoing activities on the island.  Progress aside, we must not compromise on HSE at all times. We must have an HSE mindset throughout everything that we do. We must equally ensure that our contractors abide by the rules & regulations laid down by the Brunei government authorities.  We must ensure that quality is maintained throughout the construction phase and eventually during operations” Also present during the site visit was CEO of Hengyi Industries, Mr Chen Lian Cai and VP Commerce & Economy, Mr PC Huang.  The delegation was briefed on the progress of the project and taken on a site tour of the island by Deputy Director of IPMT, Mr Shen Xiao Fei.  

The delegation was briefed on the piling and jetties construction activities currently taking place at the South Eastern shore of PMB. Later the delegation toured the staff dormitory construction site towards the North of PMB.

The site visit concluded with a group photograph of Chairman Qiu and staff members on the island.
