Hengyi Industries Promotes Workplace Wellbeing Through Heart Health Talk, Blood Donation Drive and Pop-Up Marketplace

27 January 2026, Hengyi Industries Main Office Building, Pulau Muara Besar – Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd (Hengyi Industries) organised a series of employee-focused events aimed at promoting health and wellbeing, including a heart health talk, the 8th blood donation drive, and a mini pop-up marketplace.

The heart health session featured two invited speakers who shared insights on cardiovascular health and preventive care. The first talk was delivered by YM Pg. Dr. Md. Nadzir bin Pg. Mohd. Juanda, Deputy Director of Cardiac Surgery and Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Gleneagles JPMC, with the topic “Powering the Plant Starts with Healthy Hearts.” The talk emphasised the importance of heart health in supporting personal well-being, workplace safety, and sustained work performance. Dr. Nadzir also highlighted common cardiovascular risk factors, early warning signs of heart disease, and practical preventive measures that can be adopted both in the workplace and at home to promote long-term heart health.

This was followed by a talk by YM Puan Nor Arfah Binti Mohd Taib, Senior Dietitian at Gleneagles JPMC, with the topic “Heart-Healthy Diet: Steps to Prevent Heart Disease.” During the talk, Puan Arfah shared practical dietary guidance, including appropriate portion sizes, the importance of consuming more fruits and vegetables, choosing whole grains, healthy unsaturated fats and low-fat protein sources, as well as limiting sodium intake. Employees were also encouraged to plan daily meals mindfully to support better nutrition and long-term heart health.

In conjunction with the health talk, Hengyi Industries also conducted its 8th Blood Donation Drive in collaboration with Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital’s Blood Donation Centre. Organised under the company’s “Hengyi Cares” corporate social responsibility initiative, the annual blood donation drive aims to support national efforts to replenish the country’s blood supply. A total of fifty-three (53) Hengyi Industries employees participated in the drive, contributing fifty-three (53) pints of blood to support patients in need.

Adding to the day’s activities, Hengyi Industries also hosted a mini pop-up marketplace featuring four participating food and beverage vendors, who showcased a variety of products and provided employees with an opportunity to support local businesses.

Through initiatives such as these, Hengyi Industries continues to foster a supportive workplace culture that prioritises employee wellbeing, community contribution and meaningful engagement beyond daily operations.
