Successful delivery of the first batch of heavy cargos to the construction site for Hengyi PMB Petrochemical Project

On the 15th February 2018, the 1st batch of large – piece equipment including multi-effect evaporators arrived on Pulau Muara Besar.

Although it was the first day of the Chinese New Year; to avoid any delays to the project timeline, Hengyi’s PMB Project Management Team, along with relevant construction contractors and the logistics contractor, sacrifice their holiday to witness the arrival. Also present was Mr Chen Liancai CEO of Hengyi Industries SDN BHD (HYBN).

Among other equipments that arrived was a 250t-heavy heat exchanger for the Aromatics Complex which amounts to 100,000 tons of weight. 5 vessels were involved in the transporation.

On the 1st March, one of the heaviest single piece equipment (the reactor for the Hydrocracking Unit, weighing 901 tons) and the reactor for the hydrogenation were successfully loaded at one of the harbours of India onto the vessel and currently making its way to Pulau Muara Besar.

With the arrival of these heavy machineries, the Hengyi team foresee more challenges as the project will soon enter into the peak construction stage but with teamwork and strong working spirit, the team will forge ahead to fulfill the completion of the project within its predicted timeline.
