Scholarship
Graduates are given opportunities through the fully funded scholarship programme “University Brunei Darussalam and Zhejiang University Joint Chemical and Process Engineering Scholarship” to jointly cultivate talents.
Through the comprehensive scholarship programme, career development with HYBN is a definite. Students receive industrial training to learn and gain their engineering skills in addition to training in health, safety and environment to ensure all aspects of a smooth flowing workplace. Talents cultivated from the earlier stage of the programs have subsequently joined Hengyi Industries.
Training
Training programmes for locals and other potential employees are offered by HYBN. Hengyi Refinery Operator training program- a joint collaboration between HYBN. the Centre for Capacity Building (PPK) and Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE)- involve a 3-year programme in both IBTE Brunei and Lanzhou Petrochemical College of Vocational Technology, China. The programme continues in Brunei where on-the-job training is provided for scholars at Hengyi Petrochemical Plant in Pulau Muara Besar.
Currently, HYBN has local firefighters on site. Prior to employment, firefighters receive training in China, ensuring they are equipped with necessary skills to deal with emergency situations.
