Hengyi Industries conducts IBTE – Lanzhou Scholarship Programme Roadshow

Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd held a Scholarship Introductory Programme Roadshow in collaboration between Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) and Lanzhou Petrochemical College for the 3rd batch enrolment, which took place from 18 November 2019 to 26 February 2020 in three districts of Brunei Darussalam starting from the Belait District, Tutong District, and ending in the Brunei-Muara District.

The aim of the roadshow is to introduce Hengyi Industries’ IBTE – Lanzhou Petrochemical College Scholarship Programme to students, and provide opportunities to qualified ‘O’ Level students to be a part of Hengyi Industries as future Refinery Operators.

During the roadshow, Hengyi and IBTE visited schools around Brunei and conducted slide presentations which introduced the students to the scholarship programme, before following up with a question and answer session. Over the course of the roadshow, over 1000 students from 19 schools have attended the event.

The scholarship is a three-year programme where the students will undergo 12 months of institutional-based training at IBTE Jefri Bolkiah Campus, Kuala Belait; 12 months of institutional-based training at Lanzhou Petrochemical Polytechnic, China; and 12 months of on-the-job-training with Hengyi Industries at Pulau Muara Besar (PMB). Upon completion of the programme, the scholars will be offered an employment at Hengyi Industries.

Hengyi Industries will be continuing with their next roadshow in the Brunei-Muara District in April 2020 for the 4th batch enrolment.
