Hengyi Industries take part in 24th National Traditional Boat Race Championship 2018
Serasa, Sunday, 8th April 2018 – Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd took part in 24th National Tradional Boat Race Championship event held at Serasa water Sports Complex.
The event was organised by the Brunei Darussalam National Boat Race Association (PERKEBAR) with the support from the Department of Youth and Sports Development, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. There are a total of 23 teams who have participated and they come from the Government Ministries, private sectors, locals and teams from Law Society Negara Brunei Darussalam.
The Boat Race was divided into four different events which were Local Open event, Private Sector Invitational event, Inter-Ministry event and Teams from Law Society Negara Brunei Darussalam event that covers a distance of 800 meters long.
The race was divided into 11 categories. Hengyi Industries took part in 3 categories namely the 10–paddlers Private Sector Invitational, the 15-paddlers Mixed Local Open and the 20-paddlers Local Open.
Hengyi Industries emerged second in the 15-paddlers Mixed Local Open category.
