Hengyi reaches out to the less fortunate

Hengyi Industries, Empire Golf & Country Club, 8 July 2015.  In the run-up to the upcoming Hari Raya festive, Hengyi Industries through its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative donated basic necessities to eight less fortunate families in Kg Jerudong and Kg Serasa this week.

On hand to deliver the donations were Hengyi’s Vice President Corporate Services, Sheikh Rashid Salam and staff members.  Also present were Ketua Kampongs from Jerudong, Hj Mohamad Rais bin Hj Ishak.

“Whilst most of us are busy at the supermarkets in preparation for Hari Raya we need to spare some thoughts for the less fortunate.  We hope these contributions although very modest, will ease the burden and ensure basic needs are taken care. I am well aware of the many private sector companies doing similar commendable deeds and would hope that many more will reach out to the communities especially during this festive period” said Sheikh Rashid.

Yesterday a total of four families from Kg Jerudong and Kg Serasa respectively received donations comprising of rice, sugar, cooking oil, noodles, milk, cordial drinks and canned food.
